President of India’s message on the eve of National Day of Comoros

New Delhi, Jul 5 (IBNS): President of India Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Union of Comoros on the eve of their National Day (July 06, 2016).
The Union of Comoros is a sovereign archipelago island nation in the Indian Ocean off the eastern coast of Africa.
 
In a message to Col. Azali Assoumani, the President of the Union of Comoros, the ndian President said, “On behalf of the Government, the people of India, and on my own behalf, it is with immense pleasure that I convey to you, to the Government and the people of the Union of Comoros, warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of your National Day.
 
It is a matter of satisfaction that India and Comoros enjoy close and cordial relations – and, as neighbours in the Indian Ocean, share the common vision of all round progress and peace in the region. 
 
I am confident that the bilateral engagement between our two countries will further strengthen in the coming years to the mutual benefit of our peoples. 
 
Please accept, Excellency, my good wishes for your personal health and well-being – and for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the Union of Comoros.”
