Lucknow, Jan 1 (IBNS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath  asked the concerned departments to complete preparations for the Kumbh Mela well ahead of the actual festival in 2019, according to media reports on Monday.

The Kumbh Mela will be held in Allahabad (Prayag) in Uttar Pradesh in 2019.

In 2017, the Unesco included the Kumbh Mela in its Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list.

The UP government has already launched the logo for the festival, media reported, in a function attended by UP Governor Ram Naik, CM Yogi Adityanath and state tourism minister Rita Bahuguna Joshi.

Vijay Kiran Anand, IAS (Uttar Pradesh, 2009) has been appointed as the Kumbh Mela Officer for the 2019 festival, recently reported indianbureaucracy.com.
