A pre-wedding photoshoot at the iconic Bettada Bhairaveshwara Temple in Karnataka turned violent after a group of photographers were allegedly assaulted by locals, media reports said.

According to reports, the couple had arrived at the temple for the shoot when a confrontation broke out, with some locals objecting to photography within the premises and alleging that the photographers were wearing shoes inside the temple.

The argument escalated into a physical assault, during which one camera was reportedly damaged.

The injured photographers, identified as Navi and Nandan, were admitted to a hospital in Sakleshpur for treatment, NDTV reported.

Police from the Sakleshpur Rural Police Station reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

A case has been registered, and seven individuals from Mudigere taluk have been arrested in connection with the incident, according to reports.
