Police search for the man who claims on social media network he is a Yakub Memon Sympathiser

Mumbai, Aug 6 (IBNS) The Mumbai Crime Branch is on the lookout for a man, who has declared on social media that he is a sympathiser of 1993 Mumbai blasts convict Yakub Memon, executed last week, and pledges to give up Indian citizenship to become an official spokesperson of terror group Islamic State.

Media reports said the police  is searching for Zuber Khan, as he has been identified, after  his post went viral on social media.

A team had traced Zuber Khan to Bandra and went to his residence on Tuesday afternoon  but he fled before they could arrest him.

Zuber Khan made several posts before and after Memon's execution on July 30 in which he called Memon a martyr.

However, no  case has been registered against him so far.

On a popular social networking site, Khan addressed his Augst 1  post to IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and expressed his desire to become an official spokesperson for the terror group.

He said he would reach Delhi by the Rajdhani Express on August 4 and visit the Embassy of Iraq to express his desire to be an IS spokesperson.

He also wrote that he would visit the Pakistani Embassy to expedite his visa request.

The Mumbai police’s social media lab has cracked down on dozens of “provocative” posts on various social networking sites over the past week
