Police produce gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in court

Malout (Sri Muktsar Sahib)/UNI: The Malout Police of Sri Muktsar Sahib District on Wednesday produced Lawrence Bishnoi, a gangster in connection with the murder of history sheeter Manpreet Manna who was murdered at Malout on December 2.

The police sought eight days police remand but the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Madam Shivani gave four days police remand.
     
The Sri Muktsar Sahib police brought gangster Lawrence from Bharatpur Jail (Rajasthan) only on Tuesday. A team of large number of police officials went to Bharatpur Jail to bring him to question about the murder of history sheeter Manpreet Manna.

Manpreet Manna was shot dead at Malout on December 2. Soon after the attack the Lawrence Bishnoi group took responsibility for the murder.
A facebook post claimed that Manna was killed by gangster Bishnoi’s group because he had turned a police informer. A case was registered under section 304 and 307 IPC.
     
Police also claimed that Lawrence had even threatened to kill actor Salman Khan in the past. He is facing over twenty criminal cases in Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana & Rajasthan.
