PM Narendra Modi pays tributes to Sant Ravidas on his birth anniversary

New Delhi/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday paid tributes to poet-saint Sant Ravidas on his birth anniversary.

PM Modi took to Twitter to give his message on Sant Ravidas’ birth anniversary.

“While paying obeisance to Sant Ravidas ji on his birth anniversary, we remember his great messages. On this occasion, we reiterate our resolve for a just, harmonious and prosperous society in accordance with his messages. Following his path, we will work towards achieving this goal through many initiatives. Serving and empowering the poor,” read a translation of Modi’s tweet in Hindi.

Sant Ravidas was a prominent spiritual figure and social reformer of the Bhakti movement during the 15th to 16th century CE. He is deeply revered as a Guru in the modern regions of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana.
