Indian PM Narendra Modi on Saturday landed in Argentina in the third leg of his five-nation tour after concluding his visit to Trinidad and Tobago.

"Landed in Buenos Aires for a bilateral visit which will focus on augmenting relations with Argentina. I’m eager to be meeting President Javier Milei and holding detailed talks with him," Modi wrote on X.

During his visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with President Milei to review ongoing cooperation and discuss ways to further enhance India-Argentina partnership in key areas including defence, agriculture, mining, oil and gas, renewable energy, trade and investment, and people-to-people ties, the Ministry of External Affairs earlier said.

The bilateral visit of Prime Minister will further deepen the multifaceted Strategic Partnership between India and Argentina.

Modi Honoured in Trinidad And Tobago

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday met Christine Carla Kangaloo, President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and was conferred with the country's highest civilian honour.

"Our discussions covered ways to enhance the bond between India and Trinidad & Tobago, including better economic and cultural linkages," Modi stated.

In a post on X, he said: "Delighted to meet President Christine Carla Kangaloo. Our discussions covered ways to enhance the bond between India and Trinidad & Tobago, including better economic and cultural linkages."

On being conferred with the country's the highest civilian honour, PM Modi said recognition will strengthen our resolve to deepen ties with Trinidad & Tobago.

Earlier in the day, Modi addressed the Joint Assembly of the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago. He is the first Prime Minister from India to address the T&T Parliament, and the occasion marked a milestone in India-Trinidad and Tobago bilateral relations.

Addressing the House, PM Modi conveyed special greetings to the Members from the largest democracy in the world. He expressed gratitude to the people of T&T for bestowing on him their highest national honour.
