New Delhi, Feb 14 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has wished External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj as she turned 66 on Wednesday.

Wishing Swaraj, Modi tweeted: "Birthday wishes to @SushmaSwaraj Ji. She has distinguished herself as an outstanding leader. As EAM, she plays a vital role in shaping India's foreign policy. Her proactive and compassionate nature has endeared her to Indians globally. I pray for her long life and good health."

Swaraj has been serving as the country's External Affairs Minister since 2014, the year in which the BJP-led NDA came to power.

The experienced leader has held several portfolios in the central government in the past as well.

She was also the Delhi Chief Minister for a short span of time.
