PM Modi to visit Varanasi today

Varanasi, Nov 7 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to visit his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi on Friday for the first time since he took charge in May.

The PM Modi is expected to adopt a village under the MP Model Village Scheme.

Sources said Jayapur village, 24-Km away from the ancient temple town of Varanasi, hopes to be picked up by Modi.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will be in Varanasi to welcome the PM.

All security arrangements have been stepped up as the PM will stay there in his constituency for a little over 24 hours.

Modi is also expected to kick off several projects including one to uplift the lot of weavers in Varanasi on Saturday, reports said.
