PM Modi to visit Odisha on Monday to take stock of situation due to cyclone Fani

New Delhi, May 4 (UNI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi would visit Odisha on May 6 to take stock of the situation arising due to cyclone Fani and assured all affected states to provide all possible help to them.

“Day after tomorrow, on the 6th morning, I will be going to Odisha to take stock of the situation arising in the wake of Cyclone Fani,” the Prime Minister tweeted.

The Prime Minister said he spoke to Odisha Governor Ganesh Lal and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and discussed the situation after the cyclone. He also assured them all possible help from the Centre to all people of the state who have been showing exemplary courage in the face of a natural disaster.

In a series of tweets, Modi said he also called up West Bengal Governor Kesari Nath Tripathi and conveyed his solidarity with the people.

He added: “Spoke to Shri Keshari Nath Tripathi Ji, the Governor of West Bengal on the situation due to Cyclone Fani. Reiterated the Centre’s readiness to provide all help needed to cope with the cyclone. Also conveyed my solidarity with the people of Bengal in the wake of Cyclone Fani.”

The Prime Minister also assured that the entire nation stands in solidarity with all those affected by the cyclone in different parts.
