New Delhi, Mar 3 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Amethi in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday.

He will lay foundation stones and dedicate various development projects and address a mammoth public meeting.

According to the official sources, Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani will also accompany him.

Prime Minister will dedicate and lay foundation stones of various development projects of several crores including manufacturing of Indo-Russian high tech rifle guns at Ordnance Factory at Mushiganj, they further said.

This factory is expected to generate employment to youths in Amethi and adjoining areas.

While Ms Irani, who lost to Congress president Rahul Gandhi in 2014 polls, has been visiting the constituency from time to time, it will be Prime Minister's first visit since he campaigned here five years back.
