PM Modi to start Assam campaign with five rallies today

Guwahati, Mar 26 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start his party campaign in poll bound Assam on Saturday with five rallies, according tyo reports.

His five rallies are said to focus on the issues of illegal immigrants in Assam. The BJP has said that it'll seal the Indo-Bangladesh border in Assam if elected.

They have also accused the incumbent Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi of allowing infiltration in Assam.

BJP has projected Union Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal as their Chief Ministerial candidate in the state.

The two phase polls will take place on Apr 4 and 11. Counting will be done on May 19
