PM Modi should stop thinking people are fools: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Varanasi

Varanasi, Mar 20 (IBNS): Escalating her attack on Narendra Modi at his own parliamentary constituency, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday said the Prime Minister should stop thinking people of the country are fools.

"BJP has systematically attacked every institution in last 5 years including the media. PM should stop thinking people are fools and understand that they see through this," Priyanka said as quoted by NDTV in Varanasi.

Priyanka, the Congress general secretary in eastern Uttar Pradesh, also said that her party is not afraid of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Priyanka, who is also the sister of Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, is presently on a three-day boat campaign in Uttar Pradesh, which had earned BJP 71 out of 80 Lok Sabha seats.

Think wisely, says Modi:

In a blog earlier in the day, Narendra Modi raked up dynastic politics vis-a-vis absence of internal democracy in Congress and urged the voters to "think wisely".

"Think wisely. From the press to parliament. From soldiers to free speech. Institutional insult is the Congress way. Everyone is wrong, only the Congress is correct. As you go to vote - remember the past and how one family's desire for power cost the nation so greatly," the Prime Minister wrote in a blog.

"If they could do it then, they can surely do it now," he sought to caution the voters.
