PM Modi pays tribute to Indian freedom-fighter Shyamji Krishna Varma on death anniversary

New Delhi, Mar 30 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid homage to late Indian freedom fighter Shyamji Krishna Varma, on the latter's death anniversary.

"Remembering the great Shyamji Krishna Varma on his Punya Tithi. India will never forget his rich contribution towards freeing our nation," his tweet read.

Varma was also a lawyer and and journalist, who founded the Indian Home Rule Society.

He died in 1930 in Switzerland.
