PM Modi mourns Atal Bihari Vajpayee's death, says 'end of an era'

New Delhi, Aug 16 (IBNS): Mourning the death of his predecessor Atal Bihar Vajpayee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said it is the end of an era.

Mourning Vajpayee's death, Modi tweeted, "I am speechless, I am blank but there is a tide of thoughts flooding me.Our respected Atal ji is no more. He dedicated all his life to the country. It is an end of an era"

In the latest tweet, the Prime Minister said: "Atal ji is no more but his direction, inspiration will be there for our country and the BJP......."

Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a three-time prime minister of India, a Bharat Ratna and a stalwart of Indian politics who represented the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), passed away at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on Thursday. He was 93. 

He passed away at 5:05 pm.
