PM Modi inaugurates 16th Combined Commanders’ Conference-2025 in Kolkata today

Kolkata/IBNS: In line with his commitment to a strong, secure and self-reliant India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the 16th Combined Commanders’ Conference-2025 in Kolkata.

It is the apex-level brainstorming forum of the Armed Forces, that brings together the nation’s top civilian and military leadership to exchange views and lay the groundwork for the future development of India’s military preparedness.

Held once in two years, the 16th Combined Commanders’ Conference is being held in Kolkata on September 15-17.

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Year of Reforms - Transforming for the Future’.

Along with the PM, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval will also be present.

The Prime Minister landed in Kolkata on Sunday evening and received a warm welcome on his journey from the airport to Raj Bhavan.

After the conference, Modi will head to poll-bound Bihar where he will launch the National Makhana Board in Bihar.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate the Interim Terminal Building at New Civil Enclave of Purnea Airport which will enhance passenger handling capacity in the region.

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple development projects worth around Rs 36,000 crore at Purnea.
