Washington/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is in the United States on a four-day visit, on Thursday held bilateral talks with his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison in Washington.

They discussed regional and global developments as well as ongoing bilateral cooperation in areas related to Covid-19, trade, defence, clean energy and more.

Earlier in the day, Modi held one-on-one meetings with the CEOs of Qualcomm, Adobe, First Solar, General Atomics and Blackstone to boost investment in India.

He will also meet US Vice President Kamala Harris later in the day.

This will be the first in-person meeting between the two leaders after the two talked over phone in June amid the deadly COVID-19 wave in India.
