New Delhi, Feb 24 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted the nation on the occasion of Mahashivratri.

"Greeting to the citizens on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri," the Prime Minister's tweet in Hindi read.

An important Hindu festival, Mahashivratri is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
