PM Modi greets communities on lunar new year

New Delhi, Apr 14 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted several communities ahead of their respective lunar new year.

"Greetings to people across India on the various festivals. May this auspicious day bring joy & prosperity in everyone's lives," his tweet read.

Greeting the Bengali community ahead of Nabo Barsho or the Bengali New Year, the Prime Minister tweeted, "Shubho Nabo Barsho to my Bengali friends. Wishing you all on Poila Boishakh & praying for a wonderful year ahead."

PM Modi also greeted the Assamese community on Bohag Bihu.

"Wishing the people of Assam on the auspicious occasion of Bohag Bihu," he tweeted.

Greeting the Tamil community on Puthandu, he said, "Greetings on Puthandu to my Tamil sisters & brothers. May the year be full of happiness, good health and prosperity."

"On the special occasion of Vishu, I convey my good wishes to the people of Kerala. I pray the coming year brings joy & good health," an ensuing tweet read.
