PM Modi expresses grief over Myanmar floods

New Delhi, Aug 7 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief and solidarity with Myanmar in the face of the Flood Emergency the nation is facing.

"Sad to learn about devastating floods in Myanmar. India stands shoulder to shoulder with Myanmar in this hour of need," the Prime Minister said. 

The Prime Minister also shared a link to a press release issued by the Ministry of External Affairs that details the Disaster Relief Support given by Government of India to Myanmar in response to the flood emergency.

The number of deaths in the floods caused by heavy monsoon rain in Myanmar has risen to 74 and more than 3330,000 people are affected.
