PM Modi dials former PM HD Deve Gowda over Covid-19

Bengaluru/UNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday dialled his predecessor HD Deve Gowda and assured him of considering his suggestions on containing Covid-19 pandemic.

The call was made in response to a letter by the former PM over the Covid scenario.

Gowda himself shared this information on Twitter, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called me and discussed with me for a few minutes. He informed me that he has read my letter and assured me that he would consider my suggestion. I wholeheartedly thank him for his concern and swift response."

India recorded  3,23,144 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, as per the Ministry of Health released report on Tuesday.

During the same period, 2771 people also died due to the deadly virus.

The death toll due to the disease now stands at 197894.

There are 28,82,204 active cases in the country at present.

So far, 14556209 people have been discharged.
