PM Modi, Amit Shah, Yogi Adityanath to address poll rallies in Bengal
Kolkata, Mar 24 (UNI): The BJP West Bengal unit has decided to organise rallies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party president Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath during the seven phases of polling in the state.
The Bengal unit BJP plans a mega rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the main speaker at the Brigade Parade ground in the city on April 3.
This will be followed by public meetings that will be addressed by top party leaders, including national president Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
Also, public meetings will be held at different places in North and South Bengal covering most of the constituencies, a senior BJP leader said.
West Bengal is one of the priority states for the BJP in the country.
The saffron party, which bagged two Lok Sabha seats in the state in the 2014 elections, is now targeting 23 of the state’s 42 constituencies.
Lok Sabha elections will begin on April 11 and continue for over a month till May 19 across seven phases, followed by counting of votes on May 23.
