PM condoles bus accident deaths in Tamil Nadu

New Delhi/UNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday expressed his condolences over the deaths in the bus accident in Tamil Nadu.

In a post on social media, the PM said,’’Extremely anguished by the bus accident in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruppur district. In this hour of grief, my thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families. I hope those who are injured recover at the earliest.’’

At least 19 people were reportedly killed and several others injured when a Volvo bus of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), which was going from Bengaluru to  Ernakulam , collided with a lorry at Avinashi in Tamil Nadu on Thursday.

According to preliminary reports, the incident took place when the lorry, which was coming from the opposite direction, lost control while trying to overtake and rammed into the 48-seater bus.
