Periya murder case: CPI (M) leaders, MLA are involved, alleges family
Kasaragod, Feb 21 (UNI) The involvement of senior leaders of the CPI(M), including the Uduma MLA K Kunhiraman, has been alleged by the family of the two victims of the Periya double murder case.
Two youth congress workers - Kripesh and Sarath Lal, were hacked to death on Thursday last in Periya near here.
Pointing his accusing fingers at the Uduma MLA K Kunhiraman, Sathyanarayanan, father of Sarath Lal, alleged that the crime has been masterminded by the MLA, without whose knowledge the crime will not take place.
Demanding an inquiry by the CBI, he said there are more brains behind the crime, planned and executed by the CPI(M).
The family of the other victim, Kripesh, has reiterated the involvement of the CPI(M) in the brutal murder.
They had also accused the police of neglecting a life threat to Kripesh which has been brought to the notice of the police.
Meanwhile, the family of the accused and CPI(M) Local Committee member A Peethambaran has come out with the allegation that the party was framing him as the criminal and brain behind the crime to save other leaders from the crime.
According to them, the deposition by the LC member that he had committed the crime under the influence of "ganja" was totally untrue for the fact that Peethambaran did not use the drug.
