Pathankot Air Base attack: Sushma Swaraj meets ex-envoys, former foreign secs

New Delhi, Jan 3 (IBNS) In the wake of militant attack in the Pathankot Air Base, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Sunday met former foreign secretaries and ex-envoys to Pakistan here, media reports said.

The meeting was attended by  S K Lambah, G Parthasarathy, Shyam Saran, Shivshankar Menon, Satyabrata Paul, Sharad Sabharwal and TCA Raghavan among others, reports said.

"Sources said though scheduled earlier, the meeting acquired a new dimension after Saturday's terror attack at Pathankot, where, 40 hours on, security forces are still engaging the terrorists," NDTV reported.

The terrorist attack on the air force base in Punjab's Pathankot district, believed to be carried out by Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed that seeks independence for Kashmir,has left six IAF men killed. Five militants have been killed so far.
