Parrikar takes dig at Digvijaya over formation of government in Goa
Parrikar said there was a hype created by the Congress that they had numbers (majority), possibly because there was a demand among the party members that Digvijaya should step down as general secretary of the party.
Parrikar won the floor test in Goa Assembly with the support of 22 trust votes on Thursday.
Parrikar claimed that all the allied parties of the newly formed government supported BJP "voluntarily".
Though Congress became the single largest party in assembly election, BJP got the support of other smaller parties to form the government in Goa.
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said: "BJP has stolen government with money power."
Former Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar who resigned from his ministry to become Goa CM sworn in on Tuesday.
Allied parties of Goa government like Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party and Goa Forward Party who lend support to BJP, earlier wanted Parrikar as CM.
