New Delhi/UNI: Lok Sabha, the lower house of Parliament, was adjourned till 12 pm on Friday amid sloganeering by Opposition over Adani issue.

Several Opposition parties have been demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the Hindenburg Research report over Adani Group.

The Hindenburg Research report alleged that Adani Group had engaged in stock manipulation and accounting fraud schemes over the course of decades.

As soon as the House assembled, the MPs from the Opposition raised slogans demanding a JPC probe into the Adani issue.

"I appeal to everyone to allow the House to function," Birla said to Opposition members.

The Speaker adjourned the House till 12 pm amid pandemonium.

Earlier this morning, a meeting of Opposition parties was held at the Office of Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge in the Parliament building here over the Adani issue.
