Bankura, May 1 (IBNS): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday slammed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and called him a 'paper tiger'.
" Paper tigers can never compete with Royal Bengal Tigers," Banerjee said addressing a rally on Thursday.
She said her Trinamool Congress will emerge as a national party.
Banerjee said: " Politics of violence and religious riots will not be tolerated on the soil of Bengal."
Banerjee and Modi had exchanged barbs recently.
