Jammu, Nov 22 (UNI) Assuring people of the nation to feel safe and have faith in the security forces, Inspector General BSF Jammu Frontier N S Jamwal on Friday said that though drone strategy by the Pakistan along borders is one of the challenges but BSF is ready and capable to counter any such challenge.

"As no incident of drone was reported along International Border in Jammu Frontier but in the neighbouring state and I must say that if any such challenge arises on our side, we are ready to counter it," Jamwal here told reporters on the sidelines of closing ceremony of BSF Inter Frontier Wrestling Championship here.

The IG said, "our troops are well trained and capable enough to counter any challenge from across the border."

No doubt challenges from the across like tunneling, armed infiltration, sniping and latest drone, are there but BSF is ready to face and counter it and the jawans are maintaining 24x7 vigil on borders.

"As winter season is on and either it's Line of Control or international border and snow as well as fog is there but we have our winter mechanism in place to foil nefarious designs of the enemy," said the officer.

On presence of terrorists waiting across at launching pads to infiltrate, Mr Jamwal said, "figures are speculative but whatever the number is, our jawans are geared up to neutralise them."

He further said that BSF effectively retaliating to the ceasefire violation on borders, adding, "we are ready to face any challenge."
