ONGC moves Delhi HC against RIL over gas theft

| | May 16, 2014, at 03:51 am
New Delhi, May 15 (IBNS): State-owned oil and gas major Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has moved the Delhi High Court against Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries accusing the latter of exploiting substantial gas from its natural gas block.

The Delhi High Court on Thursday sought response of the Centre and Reliance Industries Ltd on the  plea.

ONGC has claimed that  at least three wells drilled by the RIL on the boundary of the KG-D6 block are within a few hundred metres of its gas fields.

It said the fields are connected which enabled the private player to draw the natural gas.

The RIL has, however, dismissed the allegations.
