Sources told The Times of India that the fire started around 7.30 pm in the dialysis ward on the second floor of the hospital.

Fire fighters later brought the firer under control.

Odisha Chief Minister  Naveen Patnaik said he has ordered Revenue Divisional commissioner to enquire in to the incident.

He also spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the mishap.
