North Kashmir: Two cops, army jawan injured in militants' firing

Srinagar, Aug 13 (IBNS): Militants injured two policemen and an army jawan in firing after the security forces launched a search operation at Hajin area of north Kashmir's Bandipora district on Sunday morning.

According to reports, following inputs about the presence of some militants, team of army and  Special Operation Group cordoned off Wahabpora area of Hajin Bandipora.

After the siege was laid, militants hiding fired upon the search party from the outer cordoned area resulting in the injuries of two policemen and an army jawan.

All injured have been hospitalised for the treatment. 

Security forces have cordoned off the area and search operations has been launched to eliminate hiding militants in the area.
