New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra on Sunday claimed that North Eastern states have seen "unparalleled" transformation under the BJP-led government at the Centre.

"The North East has seen unparalleled transformation in the last 8 years, leading to extensive benefits for the people there," Modi said responding to a tweet.

"Pick any sector, the gains are innumerable," he added.

According to a data issued by the Ministry of Development of North-East Region (DoNER) recently, the PM had visited 44 times to NE region from 2017-22.

The PM called the eight NE states as ‘Ashtalakshmi’.
