NIA officer Tanzil Ahmed's wife succumbs to bullet injuries in hospital

New Delhi, Apr 13 (IBNS) The wife of National Investigation Agency officer Tanzil Ahmed, on Wednesday succumbed to bullet injuries at AIIMS hospital in Delhi after a ten-day battle for life, reports said.

Tanzil Ahmed was shot dead on April 3 by two unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants when he was driving back home with family from a wedding near Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor district. His wife, Farzana, received serious bullet injuries.

Police later arrested two persons and said it was a revenge attack as one of the assailants had a personal grouse against the NIA offcial.

Those arrested have been identified as Reyaan and Jainul while Muneer, one who fired the shots is still absconding.  The police have announced an award of 50,000 for information on him
