Meanwhile, a four member team of NIA from Guwahati on Saturday had visited the spot and collected information from the eyewitness where 14 civilians were killed and 18 others were injured in indiscriminate firing by Bodo militants at Balajan area in the BTAD district.

On the other hand, the slain NDFB(S) militant was identified on Saturday, who was gunned down by security forces during gun fight.

Assam Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, who visited the site on Friday said  the slain militant was identified as Manjay Islari alias Maoudang and he was the self styled commander of NDFB(S) 16th battalion.
