New Delhi: Smoke in Cabin forces Air India flight to make emergency landing

New Delhi, Jan 26 (IBNS) A Milan- bound Air India flight on Tuesday made an emergency landing in New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport after smoke was reported inside the cabin, officials said.

All the passengers of the flight are safe.

Air India said all the passengers have been shifted to another flight which will 'leave shortly'.

"#AIUpdate Del-Milan flt AI 137 made a safe precautionary landing at Del Apt today due to minor smoke detected in the cabin," Air India tweeted.

"Pax are being transferred to another aircraft, expected to leave shortly," it said.

Air India flight 137 had taken off for Milan at 3 pm.
