Narendra Modi wishes nation on World Environment Day

New Delhi, June 5 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday wished the nation on World Environment Day.

He urged people to ensure that future generations live in a clean and green planet.

"Greetings on #WorldEnvironmentDay. Together, let us ensure that our future generations live in a clean and green planet, in harmony with nature," Modi tweeted.

The World Environment Day is being observed on Tuesday.

Wishing people on the special day of the calendar, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted: "Today is World Environment Day. Following this year’s theme, let us pledge to ‘beat plastic pollution’. Let us pledge to make every day #WorldEnvironmentDay."
