Narendra Modi exchanges New Year greeting with Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina

Dhaka/UNI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi called his Bangladesh counterpart Sheikh Hasina and extended New Year 2020 greetings to her.

"The premier called Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at around 1220 hrs and extended New Year greetings to her, PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told UNI on Tuesday.

During the 15-minute telephonic conversation, he said the Bangladesh Prime Minister also extended New Year greetings to Modi.

The Bangladesh premier also requested Modi to convey her greetings to the people of India, the press secretary added.
