Rajouri/ IBNS: Indian PM Narendra Modi on Sunday celebrated Diwali with Army personnel in Rajouri.

Modi tweeted: "Celebrated #Diwali with the brave soldiers of the Indian Army in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. It is always a matter of great joy to be able to interact with these courageous personnel.

The Prime Minister arrived in bordering district Rajouri today to celebrate the festival with the troops.

His arrival coincided with the infantry day which marks the entry of the Indian Army in  Jammu & Kashmir in 1947 to push back the Pakistani forces from the region.

The Prime Minister directly flew to the Army Brigade Headquarters to interact with the troops posted on the LoC, reports added.

This is PM Modi's third visit to the troops posted in Jammu & Kashmir on Diwali and first after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A.
