Mumbai/IBNS: The toll in the bus accident in Mumbai's Kurla West increased to seven while 42 others were injured, media reports said.

The accident occurred after a state-run  Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST) bus rammed into some vehicles on a busy road in Mumbai's Kurla (West) on Monday.

CCTV footage shows the red bus coming down the road at a high speed.

The bus first rammed into an autorickshaw.

The accident occurred at 9.50 pm when the BEST bus route number 332 was on its way from Kurla station to Andheri.

The BEST buses provide transport service to the entire city and also extend their operations outside city limits into neighbouring urban areas.

Media reports quoting the police said the bus driver lost control and rammed some pedestrians and vehicles. It then crashed into the gates of a residential complex.
