MoS Power calls on Arunachal Pradesh Governor

Itanagar, Feb 21 (IBNS): Union Minister of State (Independent charge) for Power and New & Renewable Energy RK Singh on Wednesday called on Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar.

They discussed on issues related to Power and Renewable Energy, including Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana and other pending Hydropower projects in the State.

While highlighting the hydropower potential of the State, the Governor requested the MoS Power to facilitate in expediting power projects in the State, some of which have been suspended for various reasons.

The Governor also suggested promotion of renewable energy such as solar and wind projects an alternative solution to provide electricity in the far-flung and remote villages.
