Guwahati, May 1 (IBNS): Assam Finance minister and BJP-led North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convener Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday said that Modi wave is much more than what we are seeing and the BJP will win more seats in this Lok Sabha polls compared to the 2014 general elections.

“In my assessment, we are heading for a historic verdict and total tally will be more than 2014,” said he.

“People can’t imagine that, how much neutral people, who are not connected with politics, are voting for Modi. Last few weeks, I had the scope of interacting with many people. You just can imagine that the Modi wave is much more than what we are seeing,” Sarma said.

The NEDA convener said that, BJP will get a sweep victory in this election.

He further said that in the North East, the BJP and its ally parties will get 18-21 seats out of 25.

“We have a target of 18 to 21 seats. Out of 25 seats, we will might get 18, 19, 20, 21 seats. But it will not less than 18 and I don’t think so that, it will more than 21,” Himanta said.

He said that, BJP and its ally parties will win more than 10 seats in Assam.
