Modi is trying to mislead people on opposition unity: Akhilesh Yadav

| @indiablooms | May 05, 2019, at 01:42 pm

Lucknow, May 5 (UNI): Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for trying to create confusion and mislead the people on the opposition unity.

"PM's language has changed because BJP is lagging behind in previous phases of elections. BJP can see no other way. They're not talking about development, farmers' income. PM just wants to mislead people. SP-BSP-RLD will decide who will form government and who will be the next PM," he said.

Talking to reporters here on Sunday, Yadav alleged that, "BJP know they won't be able to form government. So they're taking help of IT, CBI, ED to insult the opposition leaders and to frame them in cases."

"There was never a CBI raid on anyone after election model code of conduct came into effect in the country in the past. But its the first government which wants to scare people even when elections started and model code of conduct is in effect," he said.

Yadav said, "PM Modi is a 180 degree PM, he does just the opposite of whatever he says. He is the PM of only 1 per cent of the population. So he has this issue that how those in the favour of social justice are taking the nation towards a change."
