Vadodara, Apr 9 (IBNS) Gujarat Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Wednesday filed his nomination papers from Vadodara constituency for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

"Vadodara has been my karma bhoomi (place of work). I am confident that all people in Vadodara will vote for the lotus (BJP symbol)," Modi said after filing his nomination.

Congress has fielded Madhusudan Devram Mistry while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has named Sunil Kulkarni to contest the elections against Modi from the Vadodara seat in Gujarat.

Polling will be held in Gujarat on Apr 30.

Pertinently, Modi will also be contesting the elections from the Varanasi seat in Uttar Pradesh.
