Modi, BJP bowing before China: Rahul Gandhi

| @indiablooms | Feb 27, 2023, at 02:29 am

Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Nagar: The BJP in general and the Narendra Modi dispensation, in particular, drew heavy flak on Sunday over the contentious China issue as erstwhile Congress president Rahul Gandhi alleged that the former could bow before anyone for the sake of power.

Addressing his party’s 85th Plenary Session here, he alleged, “They owe allegiance to Savarkar’s ideology and their modus operandi is to bow the head before a powerful entity but target one that is weak. Mahatma Gandhi termed opposition to power as satyagraha but these are sattagrahis (power-grabbers).”

Without naming External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Gandhi stoutly protested an interview by the former.

“It was said that China has a massive economy, how can we lock horns with them? When the British ruled over India, was their economy smaller than ours?” he wondered.
