Modi addressing at World Economic Forum in Davos

Davos, Jan 23 (IBNS):Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently addressing at the plenary of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Tuesday.

Modi said he was delighted to present at the fourm.

"I am delighted to be here,"Modi said as he delivered his address in Hindi.

He referred to the participation of former Indian PM  HD Deve Gowda in the WEF in 1997.

Speaking on Indian GDP growth, Modi said: "India's GDP has grown six times since  HD Deve Gowda participated in the forum in 1997."

He said Davos as ahead of its time in 1997.

Modi is the first Indian PM to participate in the forum in 21 years.

He said the issue of technology is playing an important role in all aspects of society today.

"Today, every aspect of the society is technology driven," Modi said.
