Miscreants set ablaze two vehicles in Meghalaya

Shillong/UNI: Unidentified persons on Wednesday set ablaze a Meghalaya government and another vehicle bearing a registration number in two separate locations here in Meghalaya.

Police said the first incident occurred at the Lumshyiap Langkyrding area when miscreants torched a government vehicle bearing registration MLO1 5716 of Sub Divisional Officer Dangar Public Works Department, Richard Nartiang.


The vehicle was parked outside the house of the driver of the PWD, Treibor Chyne at Lumshyiap Langkyrding went up in flames, police said.

In another incident, miscreants hijacked a pick-up truck bearing Assam registration number from the Polo market area and later set ablaze at Mawlai Mawtawar, police said.


Police said that they are investigating both incidents. No one has been arrested yet.
