Minor girl raped, murdered in Assam

Guwahati, Sept 1 (IBNS): The body of a minor girl who was allegedly raped by her private teacher, was found buried in a tea garden in Assam's Cachar district on Wednesday, police said on Thursday.

According to the reports, the 9-year old girl was missing since July 28 and her body was found buried in a tea garden.

The family members of the minor girl said that, she had gone to her private tutor's house near Haticherra tea garden in Borkhola area of the Barak Valley district on July 28 and since then she was missing.

Family members had filed a missing case and police recovered the body of the minor girl on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the private tutor, Ajay Bauri surrendered at the Malugram police station on Wednesday night, but denied his involvement in the incident.
