Minor fire breaks out at Gujarat PO

Ahmedabad, Jul 22 (UNI) A minor fire broke out at the parcel wing of Shahibaug Post Office here after a parcel containing gun-powder exploded, police said here on Monday.

According to police, the incident took place on Sunday evening when an undelivered parcel containing a gun-powder sort of substance exploded. As the fire was minor, it was controlled quickly with no casualty.

An investigation found that the parcel was sent by a resident of Bhavnagar from Anjar in Kutch district of Gujarat.

The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team too visited the spot on Monday to investigate the burnt out content of the package.
