Mehbooba condoles loss of lives in Jammu road accident

Srinagar, Oct 20 (IBNS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has expressed deep grief and anguish over the loss of lives in a tragic road accident in Reasi district .

Extending heartfelt condolences to the families of those who died in the tragic accident, the Chief Minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls.

On the instructions of the Chief Minister, Deputy Commissioner Reasi released immediate cash relief of Rs 10000 each in favor of the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 5000 each for the injured.

At least 22 people were killed and 40 others injured after an passenger bus skidded off the road near Gurnak area of the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday evening.

Reports said the overcrowded passenger bus, was on way to Bakal village from Reasi when it skidded off the road near Gurunak area, resulting in 22 deaths and injuries to 40 others.
